In Summer 2021, John took part in a 10-week training program for the Marine Corps. This is also known as Officer Candidate School. The purpose of this school is to educate and train officer candidates in Marine Corps knowledge and skills within a controlled and challenging environment. This is done to evaluate and screen individuals for the leadership, moral, mental, and physical qualities required for commissioning as a Marine Corps officer. John spent time in the field, classrooms, drilling on the parade deck, PTing, cleaning, and a lot of time screaming back and forth. After a very successful and enhancing 10 weeks, John graduated from OCS and earned the title of Marine.
