Alumni Book Release

Pi Kapp Alum and author Mark Singel '74 recently published his second book "The Lives and Loves of Thaddeus Stevens." Mark began the project man years ago and believed that the time was right to portray Pennsylvania's own Thaddeus Stevens in a way that does him justice. His story is particularly relevant today since, Stevens was the architect of the articles of impeachment against President Andrew Johnson.

Chapter Update

We wanted to give you a bit of an update on how the Chapter is doing so far this fall. We have a very successful rush with approximately a dozen new Associate Members. Work on leases for the Fall 2020 period are also already underway with approximately 25 young men committed and a likelihood of occupancy greater than 30. New Officers were recently elected and the transition has begun with the help of our Chapter Advisor Danelle Del Corso.

There is always a need for continued support of the 409 Club to continue Capital improvements to the Chapter House and further support a growing Brotherhood so please consider making a donation. You can make your donation online by clicking HERE.

Pi Kapp Brother to be Recognized at Penn State vs. Indiana Game This Weekend

Brother Lew Parry '48, a WWII Veteran, will be recognized before the Penn State vs. Indiana game this weekend at Beaver Stadium. As a navigator during World War II, Parry flew 31 missions -- each 16 to 18 hours, spanning from March 11, 1945, through Aug. 29, 1945. His last flight was a survey mission involving only his plane flying 500 feet above the USS Missouri -- a few days before the peace agreement with Japan was signed on board that same ship in Tokyo Bay on Sept. 2, 1945.
